Chip and Jo are BACK! After a two-year break from television, this amazing power couple hosted a 4-hour special on April 26th called “Magnolia Presents: A Look Back & A Look Ahead”. The special event included a walk down memory lane from their Fixer Upper days to sneak peaks at the couples upcoming Magnolia Network. Even though the launch of their new network has been delayed due to the corona virus epidemic, they did share some upcoming projects that were inspired by everyday people and their stories. Joanna stated, “Our intention with this network is to create and curate content that inspires, encourages, and helps build bridges across our communities.” The network was originally set to launch on October 4, 2020.

everyone has a story worth telling.” ~ Magnolia Manifesto
I couldn’t be more excited about Chip and Joanna’s new adventure. Their story and steady focus on family values, DIY projects that are affordable, and the incredible community that they’ve built in Waco, Texas, inspires me. My husband and I have a family-owned construction business and I find myself thinking about certain projects and saying, “What would Joanna do?”. Their online resources and YouTube videos are quite often my go-to’s.
The apple didn’t fall far from the tree. My mother is an also an avid fan. So, for her 70th birthday, she and I took a trip to Waco to see the Silos for ourselves! After landing, we couldn’t get to the new Magnolia Press Coffee Company fast enough. Located one block from the Silos, this cozy and inspiring coffee shop is one of Chip and Joanna’s newest project.
From there, we followed the crowd over to check out Magnolia Market at the Silos. Even though it was December, the weather was perfect..sunny and blue skies. On the big green lawn in front of the silos, bands were playing Christmas music while kids danced, played corn hole and ran freely. I felt magic in this space so needless to say, we spent a lot of time there soaking up the sun and the atmosphere.
Another highlight of the Silos was the huge selection of FOOD! Chip and Joanna did a great job designing space where local food trucks could park around the perimeter of Magnolia Market. From BBQ to fresh pressed juices, there were options for everyone. After lunch, we walked over to Silos Baking Company and indulged in a beautiful cupcake made from Joanna’s personal recipes. YUMMMY!
We decided to head over to the Market for a little shopping and to walk off the cupcakes. Two huge buildings full of Magnolia brand products for the baker, the decorator, and the gardener. You can truly get lost in there.
Our final stop was Seed & Feed. This cute little garden shop was filled with garden tools, seeds, produce, flowers and books. The area surrounding the shop had fresh herbs, lettuce and flowers growing everywhere! I could have stayed in this space for hours!!
We ended the day with my mom and I standing in front of each other smiling from ear to ear. Taking a moment to give gratitude for the most memorable trip we’ve ever had. Time together.
